Happy Anniversary…

DSC_5538DSC_5492

We recently celebrated Mom & Dad’s 50th Anniversary and Terry & Sue’s 25th Anniversary at our house.  We had at least 95 people in the backyard!

I set up a vignette that included Mom & Sue's wedding dresses

I set up a vignette that included Mom & Sue’s wedding dresses, there wedding cake toppers and wedding photos.  The cards above the table are vintage that I’ve been collecting.

Mom & I decided to have the main food catered, but i made the desserts.  Each cake was labeled as to who’s favorite it was.

Happy Birthday Mom

Last Thursday was Mom's Birthday which we celebrated on Sunday with dinner at our house, using the new kitchen!
The table set for 15 of us.
Love this pic of you Mom, think Cailynn must have taken it.
Me & my Dad, (god, I need some sun!)
Gramma with #1 Grandson.
Our Miss Meggie who has recovered so well after a terrible eye accident.
Being a bit shy with Gramma.
Yeah, so this is our new granddog, Zoey. She's part pug, part blowfish I think.
I made these cupcakes for Mom.
Just waiting for Gramma to make her wish.
This is how we clean the table at our family gatherings.

Finally, the cooking, cleaning, eating and cleaning up is done, I can relax!

Happy Birthday to You...

This past Saturday was Cailynn's 21st Birthday! Yeah!! We celebrated here with the whole family having wings, potato skins, corn on the cob, ice cream cake and her favorite, cheese cake.Bryan and Cailynn have been dating/living together for over 2 years. She's a nice girl,
fits into the family very well,
loves my dog as much as I do,
loves my son,
is very pretty ,
takes care of my son,
makes herself comfortable where ever she is,

but has this annoying habit of hugging me!

Hope you had a great day Cail, now it's onto Vegas, Baby!

Hey, What does your husband do?

We happen to have a 100 foot tower in the back of our property that supplies hi-speed internet to people east of us. See that black blob half way up, um yeah... that's my Don.See, he installs and climbs towers for a living! Yeah, not many guys do that now do they? 100 feet isn't his limit, noooo. There's a tower in Brantford he climbs to about 200 feet.

"Hey, look what I can do".

Yeah, we see ya Donnie. Just keep both hands on the tower, k.

Family Reunion

A few weeks ago, my cousin Trisha came home to visit from out west. I think it's been at least 14 years since I've seen her. There's 6 months difference in our age. We grew up together, went to the same grade school, same sunday school especially for easter! What's with the lid Trisha?

Dad & Devie's Birthday

I'm slowly getting caught up on my summer pics. Dad & Devon's birthdays are 1 week apart so we celebrate them together.

Hhhhere's Dixie. She's a real party animal!

Ken & Rene alway's enjoy family get-togethers. We're always glad when they make it up this way.

Terry & Sue

Miss Meggie & Spike sharing a snack.

Ok, I can only imagine the conversation here:

Pic 1 Dad: here you go my Pixie, good girl, you like that? you want some more?

Pic 2 Mom: I hope your not feeding those dogs your dessert...!

Pic 3 Mom: If they're sick tonite, you're the one staying up with them...!

Pic 4 Dad: here you go my Pixie, good girl, you like that? where's my Dixie, come here girl, good girl...

Always a good selection of desserts at our parties. Devon wanted brownies and strawberries for his birthday, Dad likes Black Forest cake.

Dad got a pocket full of gift cards for his birthday. What else do ya get a guy who's 70 and has everything!?!

I was saying to Devon, too bad you've got riding gloves but nothing to ride!

But Gramma & Grampa came through again, as they always do!

After a few encouraging words and helpful advice from Grampa and Bryan, Devon was on his way.

And he was gone...not bad for a kid who has never rode a motorcycle before! Must be in the genes.
