I love me a good day Yard Salein'!

Spike and I had to go on our own today yard saleing as our bff Cindy was not available! Neither was Mom. Spike had a hard time holding the map and he doesn't read very well either.
Cindy, when you comin' back?
Spike and I did our best and this is what we picked up along the way.
See that pretty table cloth hanging on the pic frame. It looks great in my sunroom. And the folding serving tray under the eggcups is unique. Got lots of bits 'n bobs of lace too. The Paris message board was .50 cents!

This little urn was our first purchase. Spike spotted it.
He's good at that ya know.
The jewelry box below had a few pieces of bling in it. Got it for a donation.
One lady had a bunch of old sewing stuff, ricrac, needle folders, little sewing kits. I was in heaven! Most of her stuff was 10 cents. Check out the little sewing kit below. The work in it is amazing.
It's 'sew' cute.
My last yard sale was like the mother lode. A family was emptying out the parents home after 65 years in it.
I have a small collection of wee perfume bottles and these were added to it!
the little plaque behind says 'Let not the grass grow on the path of friendship'.

I love this style of teacup with the calligraphy on it. Is there a name for this? It says 'love the giver'.

This is going to look so great next christmas displayed in the kitchen. And it has the original cookie cutters in it too. Be still my heart...

This is a slip from the '30s. The bodice has a butterfly pattern on it with a green ribbon around the edge. I'll hang it in the bedroom on an old wooden hanger.

This couple went directly to my chicken collection, after a stop in the sink to get cleaned up a bit. They're so cool, his 'n hers.

I could not believe my luck when I found these. They're hankie holders I guess and they were stuffed with vintage hankies!

Give me room, I need to breath...

Yes Cindy, they are in the laundry right now. I counted 32! And a few had little snips of paper saying who they were from. Isn't that something!

The next few goodies were from last weeks saleing. The weather was terrible, cold and rainy but we trudged through. Mom came with Cindy and I cause they don't have good stuff where she lives.

This little guy was marked 'occupied japan'. I just thought he was really neat. This mirror still had the price tag of $50 from Winners. I got it for $20.

That's it for Spike and me today.

Tomorrows post is Sunday Show & Tell with vintage china. I've got that category covered, I'll tell ya.

I'm not sure where you live, but I want to go garage saling w/ you when your BFF and Spike and the gang aren't available. I can carry heavy things and I have a very pleasant personality!!! ;) Great finds! I have SOOOOO enjoyed perusing your blog. I'm only on post 2 from the top and going back for more!
